As a freelance writer my main focus is on topics related to lifestyle. Yet I am a generalist at heart; give me a subject that interests me and I’ll write about it. Perhaps that’s because my media background began as personal assistant to Audrey Slaughter, former editor of Vanity Fair in London, where I wrote short pieces for the magazine that ranged from the opening of a sex shop to an interview with a Chinese chef. Over the years I’ve been a writer/ researcher for a travel guide publisher, have written voice-overs for television news anchors, did freelance copywriting, was a publicity director for four non-profit organizations, as well as worked for a PR company. I like to write essays and profiles and welcome more online opportunities.
