Annette Gallagher Weisman is an award-winning essayist and a longtime member of the National Book Critics Circle. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she has written for numerous publications including People, edibleASPEN, TheWineBuzz, Cincinnati magazine, Town & Country, and in the U.K. Vanity Fair and Over21 magazines. Annette received an MFA from Bennington College in Vermont. She has passed the Court of Master Sommelier’s Level I exam, and is currently studying for Level II, Certified Sommelier.
Annette’s lifestyle focus includes topics such as food, wine, travel, and book reviews; however, she is a generalist at heart and will write about anything and anyone who intrigues her. She is especially interested in writing essays and profiles.
When she’s not writing, reading or traveling, Annette loves to cook, sing, dance, golf and play tennis. And, an instructor once told her she doesn’t ski badly for an Irish person. In her fantasy life, Annette is torn between two men—Roger Federer and Adam Gopnik. In real life, she is happily married to Robert in Naples, Florida.
