agw-bioAnnette Gallagher Weisman is an award-winning essayist and a longtime member of the National Book Critics Circle. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she has written for numerous publications including the St. Petersburg Times, edibleASPEN, TheWineBuzz, Cincinnati Magazine, Venue, The Cincinnati Enquirer, Town & Country, People, and in the U.K. Vanity Fair and Over21. Annette received an MFA in writing and literature from Bennington College in Vermont.

When she’s not reading, writing or traveling, Annette loves to cook, sing, dance, and play tennis. Friends say she doesn’t ski badly for an Irish person. She likes quirky adventures but prefers the nonlife-threatening kind such as truffle hunting to say bungee jumping. Aside from her travels, Annette has lived in several major cities including London and New York.

In her dreams Annette is often by the ocean. Perhaps she is back in Ireland in a tiny restaurant in the wilds of Connemara, eating oysters on the half shell and sipping from a flute of Black Velvet. Or maybe she is having lunch on a terrace overlooking the Amalfi Coast, enjoying linguine alle vongole and a quartino of Franciacorta Rose. In this fantasy life, Annette is torn between two men – Roger Federer and Adam Gopnik. In real life, she is happily married to Robert in Cincinnati, Ohio.

While Annette’s main focus is lifestyle, she welcomes other topics as well as online opportunities. She has passed The Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Sommelier Course, the first step towards becoming a Master Sommelier.
